Bright lights, Big city

Everyone knows Im not a city girl.  Never have been, probably never will be.  But nonetheless, when a BFF invites you to spend the weekend celebrating her bday in NYC, you jump at the chance! So a few weekends ago, I took off on Friday and jumped on the MegaBus with 4 fabulous ladies.  5 gals, 72 hours, 1 big city.

Let me recap the weekend for you...
-stalking infamous food trucks for grilled cheese, ice cream sandwiches and the like.
-private tour of Tiffany Co. which included trying on an 8 carat yellow diamond ring, yikes!
-singing along to Mary Poppins on Broadway while she flew across the sky line (let's take note of the wine sipper cups please... best idea ever Broadway!)
-so many fabulous meals.  If you are ever going to travel, travel with a foodie- you wont ever go hungry!
-visiting the 9/11 memorial.  Surreal and speechless.
-Finding GORGEOUS Tory Burch sunglasses at 50% off... thank you Century 21 Department Store.
-St. Pattys parade through Rockefeller Center
-Swanky dinner and drinks in the meat-packing district
-Recouping and soaking in the sun in Central Park west before hitting the road back to VA.
Times Square... never sleeps
The New Freedom Tower

The Rememberance Pools where the Twin Towers once stood

Central Park: nothing better on a sunny Sunday
VIPs at Tiffany & Co.
MPoppins with wine? Done!
My Fave Bday girl, Les!
While I will probably never live in NYC, it was still fun to visit... but even better to come back home!
