Done Are the Dog Days of Summer

We had a stay-cation this weekend.  It was so hard to not be at the beach and to say no to some really fun plans but we really needed this.  We got some lame things done (like ordered new windows) and some necessary things done (like grocery shopping) but also found time for some fun things (see below).  And now, here I am, nervous like a little kid going off to their first day of school because that's what's happening.  Tomorrow is my first day of school (again!) and I cant wait to get started.
We really soaked in (literally) every moment of summer we could this weekend, what did you do?

We took a hike around Great Falls, complete with butterflies, snakes, and ticks (yuck)!
Crazy to think about how close this is to the chaos of DC
I don't know what caught their attention, but I love this pic of the boys
I never get a shot with my boy!
The last two hours of the pool season, the gates were opened to all the furry friends.  It started out a little rocky when we witnessed a dog fight or two before we walked in, but between B andI we played body guards for T and we kept him at the other end of the pool.  Negligent parents drive me nuts, negligent dog parents make me more nuts (dog fights, throwing dogs into pools, not understanding how to read your dog's cues that they're scared/ mad/ going to eat someone...).
So glad we brought his favorite accessory with us

Cutest dog at the pool

Most of the time he was the only one swimming!

Then a bully came along and stole Tuck's ball..

But he was stronger and faster, so he got it back

All the other dogs would watch him swim practically the whole length of the pool and the kids were loving throwing the ball to Tucker.

Two tennis balls?! Which one to pick...

Wet, dirty, and happy. (Don't worry, he obviously got a bath after this adventure)
Happy Labor Day! Love, B, L & T
