6.29.2012 part two

I cant even describe our rehearsal dinner, so I'll let the pictures do the talking! And there were over 300 to pick from so its a lot of talking...
The tree lined drive to the Country Club that later held us hostage (see below)

Gorgeous table arrangements & decor

The first smiling face that greeted me was from our farthest traveler: Lo Back came all the way from Prague!

Siblings

No idea what was making us so happy but when you cant yell over everyone in the room to tell them you've got it or good job, just throw a thumbs up!
Parents opening their thank you gifts- go take a vacation you four!

My dad always looks thrilled in pictures with us 3

B's fam

us 8 laughing (here and a hundred other times that weekend) are some of my most dominant and best memories of the wedding festivities

They clean up well and are quite handsome (especially that one in the middle with the yellow tie)

The coolest 16 people in attendance!

The most ridiculous part of our rehearsal dinner was the ending.  Unfortunately, our photog Marla had already left.  But here's the jest.  We planned to head out after the dinner to a local pub and restaurant to keep the celebration going with our wedding party and some of the out of town guests.  Most people had left the country club and the last of us stragglers were walking to our cars when a storm really started brewing.  We dashed to our cars and just as I pulled out of my parking spot in the lot a tree smashed down next to me.  The wind was blowing so bad, the power went out so no street lights could help me, and there were trees and branches falling like rain! I scooped up B in my car and we tried to leave but trees had falled on the path and blocked the road.  Back into the club we ran and hunkered down in the basement for about an hour with no power and no air circulation until the storm passed and the country club could get the trees removed.

Thankfully no one was hurt and even though we never made it out for drinks that night, I still got to stay with all my girls the night before I got married (in air conditioning- something that wouldnt have happened had we been in the hotel with all the guests)! The grounds crew at Stevenson Ridge was up by 6am the morning of our wedding cleaning up the debris and fallen trees in time for our wedding festivities to continue.  So we got off to a rocky/ windy start, but it just adds to the story...
